Clinical Supervision & Graduate Student Training

For Masters, PhD, and Post-Doc Psychologist and Psychological Associate Candidates

At the Toronto Neurodevelopmental Centre, we are committed to providing care that feels safe, consistent, and tailored to the unique needs of our patients — many of whom are neurodivergent and highly sensitive to change.
While some clinics host student clinicians for practicum training and may transition patients between therapists as those placements end, we have found that this model does not serve our community well. Our patients often build deep trust with their therapist and may experience significant anxiety or distress if that relationship ends abruptly.
To honour their need for predictability, stability, and long-term therapeutic connection, we do not place practicum students or temporary trainees in primary clinical roles. Instead, all therapy at our centre is provided by fully qualified and permanent clinicians under the direct supervision of Dr. Robyn Stephens, ensuring continuity and care that our patients can depend on.
