Dr. Chantelle V. Jusay, Psy.D., C.Psych. (Supervised Practice) is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) under the supervision of Dr. Robyn Stephens. She provides clinical assessment and therapeutic intervention for children, adolescents, and adults with a range of neurodevelopmental, behavioural, and mental health concerns, always tailoring her work to the unique needs of each individual and their family.
Dr. Chantelle completed her Doctor of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) at Adler University in Vancouver, following a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Minor in Counselling from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Her dissertation research explored mental health help-seeking behaviours among Filipino Canadians, with particular attention to the role of stigma, shame, and cultural values in shaping pathways to care. This work reflects her commitment to bringing a multicultural lens to her clinical practice, ensuring that cultural identity and lived experience are fully considered when formulating recommendations and interventions.
Clinically, Dr. Chantelle has trained in private practice, community, and specialized settings, where she has developed expertise in conducting psychodiagnostic, psychoeducational, psychovocational, and autism assessments. Her work frequently involves clarifying diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning disorders, and intellectual developmental disorders, while also considering common comorbidities including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma-related difficulties, and behavioural concerns. Beyond assessment, she provides individualized interventions designed to support adaptive functioning, emotional well-being, and resilience across home, school, and community contexts.
Dr. Chantelle integrates evidence-based treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive, with a focus on empowering individuals to build upon their strengths and to develop practical coping strategies for the challenges they face.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Chantelle has supervised master’s-level clinicians in training and is passionate about fostering the growth of future psychologists. She views mentorship as an essential way to strengthen the profession while ensuring that the next generation of clinicians bring compassion, competence, and cultural humility to their practice.
As a bilingual clinician fluent in English and Tagalog (Filipino), Dr. Chantelle is dedicated to making psychological services accessible and relevant to diverse communities. Her overarching goal is to help individuals and families not only understand diagnostic findings but also apply this knowledge in meaningful ways to support everyday life, strengthen relationships, and enhance quality of life.
