Julie Glenn is a Registered Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, with a primary practice focus on children and adolescents in the area of school psychology. She earned her Master’s Degree in the School and Child Clinical Psychology Program at the Ontario Institute for Studies In Education/ University of Toronto (OISE/UT) in 2001.
Julie brings to our clinic over 15 years of experience working for the Toronto District School Board as a Psychoeducational Consultant. She has extensive experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments, exploring all aspects of individual learning needs, and providing practical recommendations for academic programming supports and learning accommodations.
Julie also has many years of experience providing assessments and mental health support services for children and youth referred for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder [ADHD], giftedness screening, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, anxiety related concerns [social anxiety, school anxiety, performance anxiety], difficulties with social skill development, self-esteem, and emotional regulation.
Julie works in close consultation with schools and families to best support children by providing practical evidence-based strategies for both the school and home environments to empower children and youth with the skills they need to achieve their own learning potential.
As part of her comprehensive approach Julie strives to provide families with a supportive, mindful and strength-based perspective to better understand the uniqueness of their child’s functioning, while building their child’s emotional strength, supporting academic and social successes, and nurturing healthy interfamilial relationships through resilient and confident children.
Currently, as an important member of our clinic, Julie is expanding her professional expertise through providing psychological therapy and counseling for children, youth and their families, under the clinical supervision of Dr. Robyn J. Stephens, C. Psych. Julie also conducts PsychoEducational and Gifted Screening Assessments for children, youth and young adults.
