Unique to the Toronto Neurodevelopmental Centre is our Director, Dr. Robyn Stephens, a Clinical Neuropsychologist. A Clinical Neuropsychologist is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who has attained further comprehensive knowledge and expertise through:

1. Additional graduate level academics to understand the brain-behaviour relationship and the complexity and overlap of neurodevelopmental disorders
   
2. Post graduate clinical training through focussed internships and Post Doctoral fellowships
3. College of Psychologists of Ontario Registration requirements and passing oral examination competence to practice in the field of neuropsychology
   

The qualifications of a Clinical Neuropsychologist support a scientifically based understanding and application of a brain-related perspective when interpreting clinical assessment results, and a well qualified abilty to determine and provide accurate diagnoses with differential diagnoses by ruling in/out other clinical diagnoses which may present with similar symptoms. 

With comprehensive diagnostics, we can provide individualized intervention, assessments and therapy that explores neurodevelopmental and neurocognitive functioning unique to every one of our clients. This specialized insight produces a deeper understanding of the strengths and challenges of each individual for tailored treatment planning, academic recommendations, and program selection.

Dr. Stephens holds College of Psychologists of Ontario licensing credentials to assess and provide therapy for all age groups (children, adolescents and adults) and families,  and our well trained qualifying clinicians, under the supervision of Dr. Stephens, offer individual therapy sessions to better manage anxiety, depression, getting "unstuck", to improve motivation, and to learn how to navigate more successfully, and less stressfully, through academic, post secondary, relationship, work and family situations.
